The Rogue Valley Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association, is composed predominantly of paraglider pilots who are a close-knit bunch and an important organization for free-flying in Southern Oregon and Northern California. RVHPA stewards two world-class flying sites, Woodrat Mountain near Ruch, Oregon and The Whaleback near Weed, California. The Club sponsors a US sanctioned paragliding race; the Applegate Open, holds an annual fundraiser supporting the Ruch Outdoor Community School, coordinates an annual fly in; Starthistle, and supports other community efforts as able.
RVHPA is not a business; instead a community of fellow pilots who share the love of flight.
